Arduino 8 bit music: programmazione avanzata di uno step sequencer

Arduino 8 bit music: in questa guida presentiamo un codice avanzato per realizzare uno step sequencer basato su Arduino Uno.

Questa guida presenta una evoluzione del codice già pubblicato in Come programmare uno step sequencer con Arduino. Il programma è stato utilizzato sul nostro prototipo PDSynth-00 basato su Arduino Uno.

Il codice proposto di seguito utilizza un sistema di temporizzazione differente da quello usato in precedenza (basato sulla funzione delay()). In questo caso, invece, abbiamo usato la funzione micros() di Arduino che fornisce una maggiore precisione temporale dell’ordine di qualche microsecondo.

La funzione delay(), infatti, è piuttosto imprecisa: ha una risoluzione temporale di qualche millesimo di secondo. Per questo motivo è molto difficile utilizzare la prima versione del codice dello step sequencer per realizzare più successioni di note da soprapporre tra loro per realizzare montaggi di più linee melodiche.

Questo codice è molto più preciso e consente di realizzare sequenze di toni che possono essere facilmente sovrapposte tra loro.
